There are four main in-game currencies used in Realm Defense. They can be obtained through various completions and achievements. You can also use real money to obtain some of them.
Carefully utilizing these currencies is one of the major techniques for a progressive gaming.
GEMS
Gems are among the most valuable currency in the game. Almost all transactions needs a gem.
USES
1. Buy Heroes, Elixirs, Power Items and Energy.
2. Upgrading the Elixir Mine.
HOW TO OBTAIN
1. Buying using real money.
2. Completing Quests.
3. Participating the Tournament.
4. Completing the Daily Trial.
5. Completing stages on the Worlds.
6. Participating on the Endless Mode.
ELIXIR
Elixirs are so precious that it should be used only on top priorities. Acquiring them is easy but would take time.
USES
1. Upgrading Heroes.
2. Forging Power Items.
HOW TO OBTAIN
1. Elixir Mine.
2. Completing the Daily Trial.
3. Buying using gems.
4. Completing Quests.
5. Participating on the Tournament.
6. Completing Valley of Death and Shuttered Realms.
7. Completing stages on the Worlds.
ENERGY
Energy is needed for almost all stages except Challenges and the Tournament. It is capped at 50 so use it wisely.
USES
1. Completing stages in the Worlds.
2. Participating the Endless Mode.
HOW TO OBTAIN
1. Freely obtain 1 energy every 3 minutes.
2. Completing stages on the Worlds. (Refund)
3. Use gem to buy energy.
STARS
Stars shows your progress in the game. Aside from heroes, you'll need stars to upgrade your towers which helps more in battle.
USES
1. Upgrade towers. (Worlds only)
HOW TO OBTAIN
1. Completing stages on the Worlds.
OTHERS
Other currency includes Golden Coins which is gained while playing a certain stage. You can acquire by killing an enemy (except summoned). On Shattered Realms' Boss Rush, you can only acquire gold coins by killing the Boss.
These gold coins can then be used on upgrading and enhancing your towers while playing.
